A busy day in the First Division saw wins for Larkfield & New Hythe, Bridon Ropes, Rochester United, Faversham Strike Force, SC Thamesmead and FC Elmstead.

It was just a second loss of the league season for leaders AFC Whyteleafe and both have come against Larkfield & New Hythe. Matt Day’s early penalty was the difference between the two sides and with the 3 points the Larks move up to 4th place.

Rochester United were the only other top 5 side to win, with Harvey Brown getting the only goal of the game at Canterbury City.

FC Elmstead closed in on a play-off place with a 2-0 victory at Tooting Bec and Bridon Ropes continued their progression up the rankings by beating Lewisham Borough 2-1.

Tom Burton scored a hat-trick in a comfortable 4-0 win at struggling Greenways and Paul Lee netted early on as SC Thamesmead beat Forest Hill Park.

The only draw of the day was between Croydon and Meridian VP with the Trams having Ryan Palmer to thank for them earning a share of the spoils.
