Bearsted, Fisher and Kennington all maintained their 100% starts to the season with home victories on Matchweek 2.
Bearsted were emphatic 4-1 winners over Corinthian, with Billy Lewins bagging a brace and further goals from Ryan Blake and Jake Embery sealing the points.
Fisher stay second in the table after edging Hollands & Blair 1-0 at St Paul’s. Kesna Clarke struck the decisive goal in the 67th minute, cheered on by a crowd of over 200.
Ryan Philpott was Kennington’s hero, scoring twice in a 2-1 win over Tunbridge Wells at Homelands. His opener was cancelled out by D’Armando Lawrence, but Philpott quickly restored the lead to continue “the Ton’s” fine early form.
Sutton Athletic and Erith & Belvedere also claimed narrow 1-0 victories, both following up opening-day draws with three points. Marc Nouble’s strike earned Sutton the win at Snodland Town, while Danny Lear’s penalty proved enough for the Deres against Stansfeld.
Two of the day’s most entertaining fixtures ended all square. In Gravesend, all four goals came before half-time as Punjab United and Larkfield & New Hythe shared a 2-2 draw — Roman Campbell and Jack Hopkins netting for Punjab, with Tyler Ibe and Matt Day replying for Larkfield. At Jockey Farm, Rusthall and Hythe Town produced a six-goal spectacle. Louie Clarke scored twice and Jack Kirby added the other for the hosts, while Lewis Allan, Armani-Jordan Martin and Richie Keil were on target for a Hythe side now sitting fourth in the table.
