Hythe Town 4-0 Snodland Town

Larkfield & New Hythe 1-1 Rusthall

Hythe Town and Faversham Strikeforce climbed into the Premier Division’s top two spots last night, each cruising to 4-0 home victories.

At Reachfields, Hythe swept aside Snodland Town with goals from Tyler Sterling, Armani-Jordan Martin, Ikye Dalton and Leo Dodds. Over at the Belmont, Strikeforce kept their dream start to life at Step 5 going, Harry Taylor bagging a brace alongside Marshall Wratten’s strike and an unfortunate Kennington own goal.

The night’s only other game not to end level was a thriller at the Culverden, where Tunbridge Wells edged Erith & Belvedere 3-2 despite finishing with nine men. Macey Malyon put the visitors ahead, only for Rory Ward to level before later seeing red. Regan Corke and Kai Neil-Gray fired Wells in front, but Kazzeem Richards’ dismissal set up a nervy finale. Ollie Milton struck for the Deres in stoppage time, yet the hosts held on for a dramatic win.

Elsewhere, draws were the order of the evening. Corinthian and Chislehurst Glebe each collected their first points of the season with a 1-1 stalemate, Phoenix Sports and Fisher could not be separated, and the same scoreline played out between Larkfield & New Hythe and Rusthall, plus the unbeaten pairing of Bearsted and Whitstable Town.
