Deal Town missed out almost wrapping up the league title by losing their first league game since October.
Trevor McCreadie got the only goal of the game as Tunbridge Wells handed Deal that rare defeat and now Deal will have to wait a bit longer before they can be confirmed as Champions.
Faversham Town were 4-0 winners at home to Corinthian in a result which hugely opens up the race for second place. Nathan Wood and Connor Essam scored in the first half for Faversham with a Stefan Payne brace sealing the points late on.
Erith Town strengthened their current play-off position with a 2-1 win against VCD Athletic. Cup Final penalty shoot-out hero James Miles opened the scoring for the Dockers, with Harry Taylor getting the second. Zak Bryon pulled one back for VCD from the spot but they couldn’t find another and the Dockers held on for the win.
Lydd Town and Rusthall played out a crazy game of two halves at the Lyndsey Field. The coastal wind played it’s past in this epic result with Rusthall going 4-0 up at the break through a Jack Kirby and Jack Lyons double before the sides switched round in the second half and Charlie Dickens, Kenny Pogue x2 and Jahmal King got the goals which shared the points.
Two other games finished all-square. A late Dean Grant leveller earned Hollands & Blair a point at Holmesdale and Joe Fisher’s late penalty saw Kennington share the spoils with Welling Town.
Punjab United are likely out of the play-off race now after Snodland Town beat them 4-0 at the Steve Cook Stadium. A Taylor Fisher double was added to by Francis Babalola and Alfie Eldridge and with the win Snodland still have an outside chance of a top five finish.
Another team that still have a chance of a play-off finish following a 4-0 win today are Bearsted. Their victory came at home to Stansfeld, with Eniola Hassan, Ryan Blake, Robbie Roberts and Ollie Freeman getting the goals.
Whitstable Town remain in 6th position after their 5-0 win against Sutton Athletic. There were 5 different scorers for the Oystermen, with Emmanuel Oloyede, Will Thomas, Josh Oliver, George Sheminant and James Jeffrey all finding the net.
Lordswood came from behind to beat Fisher 2-1. Thomas Ngegba’s near post header gave the Fish the lead but replies from Callum Peck and Matt Gething saw the points stay at Martyn Grove.
