Saturday 3rd September
There were 7 First Division games today but one stands out from the rest after Faversham Strike Force and Bridon Ropes played out a 12-goal classic at Salters Lane.
It was the hosts that came out on top, winning 8-4, with both Tom Barton and Marshall Wratten scoring hat-tricks for the team now in second place in the table.
It was a first defeat of the league season for Ropes while Strike Force are yet to face defeat.
Lydd Town remain in top spot – but they needed a goal in the final stages at Forest Hill Park to keep them there.
Forest Hill came into this one with a 100% winning record and led at half time through Charlie Dale.
Lydd were not to be denied though and a Harry Alexander leveller set up a dramatic finish with culminated in a winner from 90th minute winner from Craig Calvert.
There were also 2-1 wins for Croydon at home to Lewisham Borough and Snodland Town against AFC Whyteleafe, while Staplehurst Monarchs won 2-0 at Meridian VP.
Greenways took the points at home to FC Elmstead, with Tom Reardon getting the only goal of the game and Larkfield & New Hythe netted late on to share the spoils with Tooting Bec.
