The race for promotion took another turn today, with both Phoenix Sports and Erith Town both losing on what ended up being a rest day for both Erith & Belvedere & Deal Town.
The Deres game at Tunbridge Wells was postponed due to the bad weather and they now need just a point from their last 3 games to secure the title.
Second place is far from decided so all eyes will be on the midweek games for Phoenix Sports and Deal Town.
Defeats today for Holmesdale and Welling Town mean they still have work to do to confirm their Premier Division status as Canterbury City’s win at the Erith Stadium has kept their survival hopes alive.
There were plenty of goals around the other grounds, with Alfie Moynes getting half of Stansfelds six against relegated K Sports, Liam Middleton netting two of Kennington’s six at home to Welling plus Sutton Athletic and Hollands & Blair sharing six goals at Lower Road.
Lordswood picked up an impressive 3-0 win against Fisher, with Randy Otoo, Josh Reid and Archie Risden all finding the net.
