Leaders Forest Hill Park were held to a 2-2 draw by Staplehurst Monarchs at the Ladywell Arena. It was the visitors that took the lead, when Connor Cheek scored on the hour mark, before a quickfire Georgi Steeds double swung the game in the hosts favour. Staplehurst found a late leveller though, meaning Forest Hill see their lead at the top reduced to just 3 points.
It is Faversham Strike Force that are now the team closest to chasing down the leaders. Strikeforce were 1-0 winners at Meridian VP with Marshall Wratten getting the only goal.
Clapton Community were also 1-0 winners today, with Adam Sidky scoring late against FC Elmstead while both Croydon v Lewisham Borough and Rochester United v Halls finished goalless.
Tooting Bec continued their fine form and moved up to 11th place in the table with a 4-0 home victory against Bridon Ropes. Joe Martin, Yonas Emhatsion, Nile Waite and Kai Udondem got the goals for Bec, who have lost only once in their last 9 games.
Sheppey Sports came from 1-0 down to win 3-1 at Welling Town. Kristian Campbell gave Welling an early lead but a double from Joel Wakefield and another from Jordan Tingley has kept Sheppey’s play-off hopes on track.
