A busy day in the P&Co, SCEFL First Division saw a new team hit the top of the table with Croydon now proudly looking down on the chasing pack.
Brandon Barrance got the only goal as The Trams won at Meridian VP and now the two teams are at either ends of the standings.
All 4 sides that won today kept clean sheets, including Canterbury City, who are now 3rd after their 3-0 win at FC Elmstead. Mo Cham netted a double for City with Luke Illsley adding the other.
Staplehurst Monarchs were 2-0 victors at Tooting Bec, with Luke Adams and Keiran Pallet each on the scoresheet and it was a first win of the season for SC Thamesmead with Cameron Macmillan getting the only goal against Lewisham Borough.
The other 4 games all finished level. There were no goals scored between Faversham Strike Force and Bridon Ropes, while Greenways and Forest Hill Park netted one each. Welling Town pulled off a terrific late show to nick a point against Clapton Community and Soul Tower Hamlets put in a strong second half shift to share the spoils with Rochester United.
