Kennington FC updates – 2022/23

 

Updates from Kennington FC ahead of their 2022/23 Premier Division season.


What better way to start an evening of announcements than with our No.1 After cleaning up with the Supporters & Committee Player of the Season awards, we are delighted to have Joe Mant commit to the club for the new season


Our 2021/2022 Manager’s Player, Tommy Scorer is set to enter his 8th season at the club, and we’re delighted to have his services for the new season.


Defender Adam Phillips is next to commit his future to the club.

He’s been the beating heart of the Ton defence for several years now – and looks so good doing it too.


The ever impressive and consistent, Harry Stow has committed to the club for the new season.

The energetic and tough tackling full back has been a rock for the club and we are delighted to have him at the club.


Midfield dynamo Harry Lavender is the latest player to commit to the club for the new campaign.

Lavender clocked up 40 appearances last season and has always played with incredible pride in a Ton shirt


Defender Matt Kirby has also committed his services to the club for the new season.

We are delighted to have Kirby with the club for the season, and we know it’s going to be a big one for him!


High flying forward James Haylock-Ashdown ended the campaign in sensational form last season, and now he’s raring to get going again.

After an injury plagued season, both he and the club are excited to see what he can do on our return.


Forward Liam Middleton has committed his future to the club after an impressive debut season at the club – hitting double figures.


Midfield technician Craig Calvert has pledged his future to the Ton for the coming season.

After a difficult season with injuries and other commitments, we are delighted to have Craig commit his services for the new season.


Our next player announcement today comes in the form of midfielder Charlie Owen who has committed to the club for the new campaign.

Charlie has continued to progress in a Ton shirt and we look forward to a big season from him this campaign.

We are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Kundai Munyama.

Kundai made his debut for the club back in 2018 at the age of 16 and now returns to the club having gained experience at clubs at Step 4,5 & 6.

Welcome home, Kundai.


We sadly announce that club captain, Gary Clarke has unfortunately made the decision to retire.

A true gentleman to the game and a player that has served us well with absolutely everything he had!

Following the announcement of club captain, Gary Clarke’s retirement…

We are delighted to announce that Tommy Scorer will take the armband for the new SCEFL campaign.


We are doubly delighted to welcome the signing of Ashis Rai and Eban Gurung.

Both players have impressed in a number of games throughout pre-season and have now signed, ready for tomorrow’s opening fixture. Welcome to the club, lads!


 

The Premier Division season gets underway on Saturday 30th July.
