King takes the throne at Deal

Deal Town have announced that Steve King has been appointed as the First Team Manager at the Club.

King steps up from his Assistant Manager role following Derek Hares departure as long-term boss last week.

Deal Town made this announcement today;

We are delighted to announce that Steve King has accepted the First Team Manager role.

Dean Hill will take up the Assistant Manager role and Rob Edwards will become First Team Coach with Kieron Hollier remaining as Goalkeeping Coach.

Everyone at the club is excited for the season coming, and can’t wait to get started on our 2022/2023 SCEFL campaign on the 30th July.

Steve King states, ‘I am delighted and proud to take on the role of First Team Manager at the club.
There has been a lot of work put in over the last 7 years to move the club to the position it is in today and I am really pleased to have the opportunity to continue that work.

Along with the coaching team we will continue to do everything we can to help develop the club and team further and hopefully bring further success.

The support has been phenomenal over the last couple of years with gates rising to around 300 last year and we will need everyone to get behind us as we continue this journey we are on.”

We are delighted that Kingy has accepted the opportunity after being an integral part of the success the team have had in recent years.

His first game as First Team Manager will be tonight’s pre season friendly against Dover Athletic and we look forward to seeing as many supporters as possible there.
