Stansfeld are the 2021/22 season First Division Champions.
Victory against Larkfield & New Hythe confirmed their status and following their win against Meridian VP on Easter Monday they deservedly got to lift the trophy aloft.
Stansfeld won 27 of their 38 matches played and comfortably topped the table despite hot competition from the likes of Larkfield, Sutton Athletic and Snodland Town among others.
Defensively they were superb as they only conceded 33 goals all season. Charlie Cottrell was outstanding between the sticks and those in front of him were solid all year long.
Since the season started Stansfeld have never been lower than 2nd place and twice put together 12 match unbeaten runs on their way to the Silverware.
Next season will be their first at Step 5 in a history that stretches back over 125 years. They are sure to do the club proud when coming up against some of the bigger name teams in Kent Non League football.
It is not just in the league where Stansfeld shone this year. They incredibly made it through to the last 16 of the FA Vase, only going out on penalties at Southall after a 0-0 draw. No SCEFL side went further in the competition.
