The weather may have reduced today’s Premier Division fixture list but it didn’t lessen the entertainment or drama as differing results for the top four sides livened up the race for promotion.
Erith & Belvedere are stuttering their way towards the title and after defeat today their lead at the top is down to 7 points.
Whitstable Town were down to 10 men early on at Park View Road, but with goals from Jefferson Aibangbee and Josh Oliver, they beat the Deres 2-1.
Phoenix Sports are back into second place, after Ryan Hayes and Matt Bourne each netted in a 2-0 win at K Sports while Deal Town’s draw at Glebe sees them sit in third. Fourth placed Erith Town go into Wednesday night’s big game at Phoenix in good form, after Harry Taylor and Steadman Callender scored second half goals in the Dockers 2-0 home success over Tunbridge Wells.
An early Sam Bailey header gave Welling Town a 1-0 home win over Fisher and Stansfeld came from behind to beat Lordswood 2-1 – Rob Hughes got the winner after Billy Shinners nabbed the equaliser.
