VCD Athletic remain at the top of the Table following their comfortable 5-0 win at Hollands & Blair.
Lee Bird, Ollie Freeman, Charlie Heatley, Ben Fitchett and Francis Babalola got the goals for VCD, who hold a one point advantage over another of today’s winners, Faversham Town.
Faversham were playing in a 2nd v 3rd match-up against Punjab United, and with victory it now looks extremely unlikely that the top 2 will feature anyone other than the Lilywhites or VCD.
Danny Parish and Fran Collin got the goals for Faversham early on at Salters Lane.
Charlie Clover has his eyes on the Golden Boot Trophy and his side Rusthall have their eyes on a play-off place finish this season – with both moving a step closer to that goal after their 4-1 victory at Holmesdale. Clover scored twice for the 5th-placed Rustics with Yassin Fares and Thompson Adeyemi also on target at Oakley Road.
Jamie Philpot netted twice as Glebe beat Snodland Town 3-0 while Bearsted were victors by the same scoreline, with goals from Nathan Light, Connor French and Danny Keyte against Kennington.
Corinthian and Larkfield drew 1-1, a result which did little to help either team’s top-five ambitions as Mefose Esumobi’s opener was cancelled out by Larkfield’s Matt Day on the half-hour.
The crunch game at the bottom of the table saw Lordswood beat bottom side Lydd Town 4-0.
Elliott Moore’s first-half goal put Lords on their way with Malichi Hudson, Elliott Duncan and substitute Jake Embery netting in the second half.
Sutton Athletic won 1-0 at home to Stansfeld thanks to James Bayford’s first-half goal although they had Taylor Fisher sent off late on.
