Premier Division – September 4th
With morning leaders Sheppey United in FA Cup action, Glebe took advantage and went top with a 4-0 home win over Tower Hamlets. Ryan Elliot-King opened the scoring in the seventh minute before Jamie Philpot added a second. Elliot-King added the third with a penalty, with Lauris Chin scoring in the last minute.
Erith Town came from two goals down to claim third spot with a 4-3 win at Punjab United. Paul Vines scored twice in the first sixteen minutes to put the hosts in control before Steadman Callender levelled with a brace of his own. Fred Obasa and Ryan Mahal headed the Dockers 4-2 ahead in the opening 20 minutes of the second half before Will Johnson Cole reduced the arrears from the spot.
Hollands & Blair had the day’s biggest win with a 5-0 victory at Rusthall, Sam Itauma scored twice, while three goals in the last 15 minutes, including two for Matt Gething, saw Tunbridge Wells enjoy a 4-1 win at Fisher.
Holmesdale came from a goal down at half-time to beat Crowborough Athletic 3-1, continuing the Dale’s excellent start to the season. Nathan Palmer and Owen Punselie (x2) were on target.
Sam Lawford’s late finish saw Canterbury City beat Bearsted 2-1, and Kyle McDowell’s goal on the hour was enough for Lordswood to win 1-0 at Welling Town.
