Oakins confirmed as Glebe boss

 

Glebe have confirmed Danny Oakins as their First Team Manager.

Oakins has been in the role in an Interim position for the past 4 months, and with that spell proving successful, the role has now been made permanent.

Glebe used their Socials to release this statement today;

We are delighted to announce that Danny Oakins has been appointed 1st team Manager .

Craig Nelson has been appointed Assistant 1st team Manager. Congratulations to Dan & Craig.

“Since their appointment on an interim basis in November, Danny & Craig have done remarkably well,”  said Chairman Rocky McMillan. “We’ve had some excellent results and there is a great feel throughout the club, we have been flattered by the calibre and number of Managers who have approached us with interest in the role, and feel now is a good time to make a decision on the clubs immediate future. 

“Anwar and myself have monitored the situation closely and feel the time is right to reward our management team with the the role so they can finish the season strong and best prepare for what will be an exciting new season.”

“Dan has been with Glebe for 3 years and has shown a real passion for the club , as well as producing winning teams . Craig has come in and added tremendous value to the club in a short time. I wish them every success and am confident of good times ahead”.

Glebe host Welling Town this Tuesday.
