Non League Day – 25th March
A busy day in the Premier Division saw wins for Erith & Belvedere, Kennington, Tunbridge Wells, Erith Town, Punjab United, Sutton Athletic, Hollands & Blair and Whitstable Town.
Erith & Belvedere returned to winning ways with a 3-1 success at Welling Town. Danny Lear’s deadly double gives them a 6 point gap over the current second placed team Phoenix Sports, who today drew 1-1 in front of a huge crowd at Deal Town.
There were plenty of doubles around for some of the premier forwards in the Division.
Steadman Callender scored twice as Erith Town beat Bearsted, Josh Oliver notched his duo early on in Whitstable Town’s win against Holmesdale, Trevor McCreadie claimed a brace for Tunbridge Wells at Lordswood, Will Johnson-Cole hit two in a win for Punjab United over K Sports and Sutton Athletic won at Stansfeld with the help of an Arlie Desanges double.
It was one goal a-piece for Henry Arnold and Jamie Philpot as Canterbury City held Glebe to a 1-1 draw while Max Sutton, Mo Cham, and Elliott Moore were all on target as Kennington beat Fisher 3-0 at Homelands.
Hollands & Blair picked up their 3rd win in a row and handed Rusthall a 3rd consecutive loss in the process, with Blair coming away from a busy Jockey Farm as 1-0 victors.
