First Division – Saturday 9th October
Stansfeld are the new leaders of the First Division after their 3-1 win at home to Chessington & Hook continued their unbeaten start to the season and put them on the top of the table.
They didn’t have it all their own way today, falling behind to a Deji Alabi goal, but Ollie Milton levelled and a double from Jack Carthy won them the game and now Stansfeld can look down on the rest of the league from the dizzying height of first place.
Chessington & Hook are 1 of 3 teams level on points at the bottom.
Larkfield & New Hythe are in third place, as they beat promotion rivals Sutton Athletic 2-0 at the Taray Group Community Stadium.
Luke Baptiste scored his 11th goal of this young league season while Ethan Stewart netted his 1st.
Bridon Ropes occupy a play-off place once more after they returned from Kent Football United as convincing 4-0 winners.
Ladic Melconian joined Baptiste and Lee Friend and the top of the scorers leaderboard after claiming his 2nd hat-trick of the campaign, while Nathan Simpson got the other.
Caine Smith got the only goal of the game, and it came early as Snodland Town beat Staplehurst Monarchs 1-0 to move up to 7th place.
It was the 3rd win in a row for Snodland and came against a team for whom many of their side used to play for.
Faversham Strike Force moved up the table thanks to a 2-1 win at Westside FC.
Ali Wren and Tom Barton were both on target for the now 11th placed Strike Force.
Two of today’s games finished 2-2. FC Elmstead shared the points with Lydd Town while Rochester United scored late to finish level with Greenways.
