First Division – Saturday 2nd April
Stansfeld now have a 6 point advantage at the top of the table following their narrow win at Chessington & Hook United today.
That coupled with Sutton Athletic’s goalless draw with 3rd placed Larkfield & New Hythe means Stansfeld go into the final 3 weeks of the season with a game in hand plus that 6 point cushion over their promotion rivals.
Bridon Ropes were the biggest winners of the day as they ended Croydon’s play-off hopes in dramatic style with a 5-0 win.
Wins for Tooting Bec and Snodland Town mean that they, Ropes and Larkfield will join Sutton and Stansfeld in the fight for a top five place, with just one of them now missing out.
Elsewhere there was an impressive victory for FC Elmstead at Rochester United, with Joedon Gugas-Cowin scoring a late winner, while Lewisham Borough look nailed on for a top 8 finish after beating SC Thamesmead 3-0.
Meridian VP and Lydd Town drew 0-0 in a match described by the hosts Social Media channels as ‘a very poor game’.
