FC Elmstead 0-2 Forest Hill Park
Two goals from Mason Saunders-Henry were enough for Forest Hill Park to claim their first win of the season, away at FC Elmstead.
The Lewisham-based side played some attractive attacking football in monsoon conditions.
Elmstead had the better of the earlier chances before Mason Saunders-Henry scored in the 11th minute – A well worked move that ended up with Saunders-Henry firing into the bottom corner.
Just before half time Mason doubled Forest Hill Park’s lead with a delightful chip over the stranded Elmstead keeper which landed in the back of the net.
The second half was full of half chances for both sides with Forest Hill Park battling on to keep a clean sheet.
Speaking about the start to Forest Hill Park’s start to the season Manager Darrell Queeley said “We weren’t very good against Rochester on the opening day but at Snodland I thought we did well and away to Lingfield I thought we did well too so we were very unfortunate to come away with nothing from those two games, so it’s really good for the boys that they’ve bounced back.”
