Kennington, Chatham Town and Deal Town are through to the third round after dramatic FA Vase victories on Saturday.

Deal Town done it the hard way, winning through on penalties following a 2-2 draw against a very strong Saltdean United.

Chatham Town were involved in another thriller, beating Horley Town 5-3 with Luke Rooney grabbing a long distance double.

Kennington were the victors in the all-SCEFL tie with Glebe.

Following a goalless first half Tom Scorer and Gary Lockyer scored for the Ton late on to put them in the hat for Monday’s draw.

Corinthian and Sheppey United both lost on penalties to exit the competition in the worst possible way.

The Hoops were 2-0 up at Hanworth Villa until Sam and Ben Merson netted late on to take the game to spot kicks. From there they lost as did Sheppey who went out after an entertaining 3-3 draw at Littlehampton.

There was just the one game for us on Sunday but it was a dramatic one as Stansfeld won through on penalties against AFC Hayes following a 2-2 draw.

Macey Malyon was the star in regular time for Stansfeld, scoring both goals, before his side once again held their nerves best from the spot to go through.

They will now host Flackwell Heath in Round Two on Saturday.
