FA offer support to struggling Clubs
This message has gone to all Clubs today from the National Clubs Services Manager at the FA.
“I hope you are well.
As way of introduction, as this will most likely be my first correspondence to you, I am the National Clubs Services Manager at The FA, working within the leagues and clubs services team contributing to the support and services as part of the FA club programme.
With the on-going challenges clubs are facing in this uncertain time, The FA club programme with our FA club consultants are taking a revised approach aligned to current live discussions. The FA would like to extend a direct offer of support to clubs in immediate crisis situations during this unexpected period of non-football. Immediate crisis situations for example; struggling as a going concern, short term sustainability, threat of disbanding in the close to near future.
The programme will then soon look to gather the thoughts and areas of needs of your clubs. This will help focus our FA club consultant support for the sustainability and longevity of your clubs, a collective and collaborative approach to benefit all.
But right now we appreciate there are immediate and short-term needs and focus, therefore we want to extend this offer as soon as possible.
Please could you make this offer of support available to your member clubs or contact specific clubs directly if you feel they would benefit from this additional support through The FA club consultants.
Club wishing to take up this support can register their interest via emailing clubsprogramme@thefa.com cc’ing you in the email, outlining what area of support they would like to address and we will look to coordinate an offer of support.
We may have to prioritise those most in need depending on the response we receive.”
