Deal Town 1-4 Binfield
Saturday 10th April
Deal Town 1-4 Binfield
Deal Town took part in the first competitive game of the year for any SCEFL side but it was not to be for the Hoops, who exit the FA Vase at the Third Round stage after a strong second half performance from Binfield.
It all started well for Deal with Alfie Foster nodding home a 7th minute corner in a game superbly live-streamed to hundreds via the Club’s Facebook page.
In an even first half Binfield levelled on the half-hour mark after a fine volley from Josh Helmore.
The visitors started strongly after the break and deserved the lead given to them by Sean Moore with 61 minutes on the clock.
With Deal pushing forward, and making attacking substitutions late on, Binfield capitalized and extended their lead through Ollie Harris, before the same man sealed the game with a lovely finish in the dying seconds.
A good effort after a long break from our SCEFL side but their FA Vase journey ends here and they now join the rest of our sides in waiting impatiently for the 2021/22 season to begin.
Binfield will now visit Fakenham Town in the Fourth Round on the 17th April.
