Chislehurst Glebe Part Ways With Manager Dan Lawrence

Chislehurst Glebe chairman Rocky McMillain has dismissed manager Dan Lawrence after a winless run of ten league games.

The club announced the decision in a brief 20-word statement on X this morning:
“Dan Lawrence and the coaching staff have left the club with immediate effect. Wishing Dan every success in the future.”

Lawrence, who previously managed Canterbury City, lasted just 13 matches in charge of the Foxes. Glebe sit bottom of the SCEFL Premier Division, having lost eight and drawn two of their league fixtures, including five straight defeats.

“Unfortunately my time at the club has come to an end,” Lawrence said. “Results haven’t been good enough and I take full responsibility. I’d like to thank Rocky for the opportunity and support, and I wish the club nothing but the best going forward. I’ll be better for the experience.”

Glebe’s scheduled trip to Whitstable Town this Saturday has been postponed due to their opponents’ FA Cup commitments. That gives McMillain time to find a replacement ahead of the club’s next fixture—a home clash with Sutton Athletic on Saturday 4 October (6:30pm).

Glebe remain one point adrift of Stansfeld, who have two games in hand, and three points from safety, with Corinthian a further place above.
