The final big night of friendly fixtures took place last night as we close in on Saturday’s start to the SCEFL season.

Snodland Town prepared to host Westside by hitting 8 past Tudor Sports while Bearsted needed just the 1 to win at AFC Uckfield.

The Bears welcome Glebe to Otham this weekend, with the Foxes rounding off an impressive pre-season campaign with a 4-1 victory over Ramsgate. Charlie Penny, Javen Palmer and Lauris Chin were among the goals for Glebe, who are looking like a team to watch out for in the Premier Division this year.

Chatham Town entertained Step 2 Maidstone United and finished on par with them, thanks to a Dan Bradshaw first half double.

It was honours even at Bayliss Avenue too as SC Thamesmead and Lordswood shared the ‘Marlene Hunter Memorial Trophy’.

Welling Town put on an impressive second half performance in winning 3-1 at FC Elmstead. The returning Ryan Golding netted twice with Carl Oblitey getting the other. The Boots visit Crowborough Athletic on Saturday while Elmstead go to SC Thamesmead.

Tower Hamlets fell just short to landlords Phoenix Sports while Sheppey United took the lead through a Billy Bennett opener, before Ashford United stormed back to take the game 3-1.

Faversham Town beat Punjab United 3-0 and Staplehurst Monarchs lost 2-0 to Cuxton 91.

Matt Gething was on target from the spot for Tunbridge Wells, in defeat at Cray Valley while Fisher beat Forest Hill Park 5-0 – Luke With and Lee Weemes among the scorers for Fisher.

All eyes now turn to Saturday and Day One of the SCEFL Season!
