Fans allowed back?

Following clarification of Government guidance to allow a phased and limited return of spectators at Steps 3-6, the FA has announced that it is finalising its guidance documents for clubs and leagues and hope to circulate the documents later today.

A statement from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport issued yesterday said:

“The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport has now clarified its guidance on the return to recreational team sport and clubs at Steps 3-6 of the National League System [NLS] are permitted to accommodate a phased and limited return of spectators to fixtures.

However, they must all follow both the UK Government’s guidance in relation to Covid-19 and The FA’s updated guidelines for the NLS that will be published in full on Wednesday 19 August 2020.

In addition, Regional NLS Feeder League clubs are now permitted to accommodate socially-distanced spectators in line with The FA’s guidelines for grassroots football”

We will share the updated guidance from the FA as soon as we get it!
