Whitstable Town Updates ahead of their 2023/24 Premier Division Season

Marcel is delighted to announce the signing of Josh Williams.
“Josh raised a lot of eyebrows during his 21/22 campaign at Farnham Town and once he signed for Chatham Town last season, I made the time to watch him and saw all the desired attributes in a winger. Explosive and dynamic with various attributes, he carries the ball with great pace and is able to create opportunities and support the forward line, as well as being a natural goalscorer.
As an individual Josh is ambitious, experienced and eager to be a key player within our project for the season ahead.
I strongly feel that Josh and our home crowd will become a match made in heaven.”

“I’m delighted to bring Steadman Callender onboard with us. He is someone that I have targeted amongst the top forwards for quite some time and is a natural finisher who has a fantastic track record of scoring goals.
He has athleticism, pace, skill and technical brilliance and will embrace and improve upon our style of play.
Also, most importantly, he is a brilliant personality who will bring experience and great psychological value to our changing room.”

Marcel makes another signing for the first team!
Tyler Anderson is an athletic and tricky attacking midfielder who can play across all three of the forward roles. He is a player that I have liked for a number of years and his ability on the ball and the speed with which Tyler operates really suits our style of play.
He will be an attacking threat for 90 minutes and that is what really stands out for me the most about Tyler. He can attack in those later parts of the game with the same speed and aggression as he would do in the first ten minutes and those enduring anaerobic attributes are so important to win games of football.
He is another crowd pleaser and I have confidence that Tyler will improve his game within our set up as well as playing a vital role in supporting our project.”

Marcel makes his 4th signing!
“I believe Eri Oluwa Akintimehin is going to be a bit of a hidden gem for us this season and I am very optimistic that he will kick start his non league career with us.
I recently attended one of his games playing for UTR and his performance really stood out to me, so much that I made the effort to go and watch him on two further occasions. He is a very humble young man with great potential, plenty of pace, trickery and the desire to drive forward with the ball.”
