FIRST DIVISION

FC Elmstead 2-4 Croydon

Lydd Town 2-2 Lordswood

There were goals galore in Tuesday night’s First Division action, with Croydon winning 4-2 at FC Elmstead while Lydd Town and Lordswood played out a 2-2 draw.

Croydon were unstoppable early on, racing into a 4-0 lead inside 23 minutes. Alfie Eldridge struck twice, with Kanan Fitton and Cameron MacMillan also on target to put the Trams firmly in control. Elmstead did rally, pulling goals back through Stacey Petrou and Ryan Penton, but their disastrous start left too much to do.

Over at Lydd, the hosts staged a second-half comeback after trailing 2-0 at the interval. Lordswood had taken command through Ethan Stewart and Harvey Welford, but an own goal gave Lydd hope before Harry Byrne struck in the 70th minute to ensure the points were shared.
