On an eventful evening in the Premier Division, Lydd Town beat Faversham Town 4-1 and Deal Town drew at Snodland Town 3-3.
Few would have fancied Lydd to earn their first Premier Division points against the League title favourites but that’s what happened and they earned 3 of them in a convincing victory.
After a goalless first half Sam Adams opened the scoring in the 66th minute, Ronnie Doland added a scond and Kenny Pogue netted two more. Gary Lockyer hit a consolation from the spot for Faversham, who have now lost back-to-back games.
A late Ben Chapman leveller saw Deal Town take a point from Snodland.
Billy Munday hit an early double for the Hoops before goals from Henry Muggeridge, Robbie Bissett and Ed Mbango turned the game on it’s head.
Chapman’s equaliser saw the points shared and both can now go into Saturday’s FA Cup games in good form.
