Styles makes Whitstable Town switch

Richard Styles has been announced as the new Whitstable Town Manager, following his earlier departure from Tunbridge Wells.

Whitstable are back in the SCEFL Premier Division following relegation from the Isthmian League last season and see Styles as the man to swiftly seal their return.

Dan Morrin also makes the move, to become Assistant Manager at the Belmont.

The club received over thirty applications for the position following the departure of Andy Drury to Isthmian Premier club Margate last Monday,” said a Whitstable Club statement. “A number of interviews were held during the past week and we have spoken to some very good candidates. We would like to thank all those who applied for their interest.”

“The board feels that Richard and his team are the best choice for Whitstable at this time as we strive to gain promotion from the SCEFL Premier Division, whilst also continuing to develop the promising young players who are progressing through our youth and academy teams. It is an exciting time for the club with work on the new 3G pitch installation and other ground improvements starting this week.”

Earlier Tunbridge Wells had released this statement following Styles departure from the Culverden;

“Tunbridge Wells Football Club can confirm the departure of Richard Styles and Assistant Manager Dan Morrin by mutual consent.

“Tunbridge Wells Football Club would like to thank Richard and Dan for their work with Tunbridge Wells Football Club and we wish them both well for the future.

“The search for a new manager will begin immediately.”

The Premier Division season gets underway on Saturday 30th July.
