Search begins for KFU Manager
Kent Football United have today began the search for a new Manager following the sudden resignation of Danny Wakeling
With Wakeling making the move to Welling Town, Kent Football have asked for applications to succeed him as their new boss and with the new season fast approaching they are looking fill the gap quickly.
The Club has today communicated via Twitter:
The club are extremely disappointed to announce that 1st Team Manager Danny Wakeling is leaving for Welling Town along with entire back room staff with just a month to go before the season starts. It has come completely out of the blue with no warning despite positive plans, pre season training starting, matches booked and us entering a development side in the BASLFL league which we will now have to remove at our cost. We were hoping to build on the fantastic second half of the season last year but this has now come as a major setback. The club will be holding an emergency meeting this evening to discuss the route forward. Our plans to develop the ground will go on as planned and we will continue the fantastic work and positivity we have had since May. Any interested parties in the 1st Team job or a role within our side should contact us on s.macneil.kfu@gmail.com. We will be making a decision by the weekend so closing date will be Friday evening.
Kent Football United have cancelled their planned friendly on Saturday whilst they resolve this appointment.
