SCEFL AGM – 17th June 2023

 

The Annual General Meeting of the League took place today, Saturday 17th June 2023 at Lordswood FC, and we are pleased to bring you a summary of events below.

The League Constitution for the 2023/24 season has been confirmed and as a result we welcome Faversham Town, Corinthian and VCD Athletic into the SCEFL.

Premier Division:
Bearsted, Corinthian, Deal Town, Erith Town, Fisher, Faversham Town, Glebe, Hollands & Blair, Holmesdale, Kennington, Lordswood, Lydd Town, Punjab United, Rusthall, Stansfeld, Snodland Town, Sutton Athletic, Tunbridge Wells, VCD Athletic, Welling Town, Whitstable Town.

First Division:
AFC Whyteleafe, Bridon Ropes, Canterbury City, Croydon, FC Elmstead, Faversham Strike Force, Forest Hill Park, Greenways, K Sports, Larkfield & New Hythe, Lewisham Borough, Meridian VP, Rochester United, Sporting Club Thamesmead, Staplehurst Monarchs, Tooting Bec

The minutes from the 2022 AGM were confirmed and Finance Report approved.

Ricky Adams was welcomed as the new Referees Director with Will Sanderson approved as Referees Officer.
The League Chair thanked Ian Bentley, Don Macleaod and Alan Escudier for their considerable efforts in running the Referees Department over the past 9 years.

We took the opportunity with everyone present to make the draws for the early rounds of the Challenge Cup.

A Division One Cup will be introduced for this coming season and rules were accepted – the draw will be made in due course.

During AOB we also discussed a bigger and better Development League and the October 2023 Groundhop.

Jeff Davis from the Kent FA made a presentation with regard to the Football Stadia Improvement Fund
