Updates from SC Thamesmead ahead of the 2024/25 season start…
“The club is delighted to announce Alex White and Ryan Watts as joint managers!
Welcome to the club lads.”
“The club is pleased to announce that Gerry Cox & Simon Smith have agreed to be part of our u23 set up in their inaugural season in the SCEFL Dev League.
Both bring a wealth of experience with them and are great additions to the Acre family.”
“Delighted to announce our first signing of the season, Shiaroe McDonald – he joins from FC Elmstead, where he worked with Alex and Ryan before.

“The club are thrilled to announce the signing of prolific goalscorer, Kanan Fitton. Having spent the last few seasons with FC Elmstead and top goalscorer in the division 22/23, Kanan makes the move following Alex & Ryan across to SE28.”
“After no signing announcement yesterday only right we do 2 today. So first one up with the morning cuppa. Former captain of Whyteleafe Alfie Clark signs on for 24/25. Alex and Ryan are looking forward to Alfie leading the back line this season.”
“To stick with the theme for now of announcing forward players or defenders another attacking signing for you. After a good performance recently we are pleased to welcome Cameron MacMillan to the club. Striker with good movement and an eye for goal.”
“Our first announcement in that engine room is Aaron Walker. Aaron is an energetic midfielder and we look forward to seeing him in this season.”
“Another midfielder joining the club this season is Jack White. The management team are excited by this signing and once fully fit believe we will see the best of Jack.”
“Monday madness, a 3rd signing for today and another midfielder too. Ted Dwyer joins us from Forest Hill where he played last season. Ryan and Alex look forward to seeing Ted getting on the ball and dictating play for us this season.”
“As we prepare for our final pre season friendly let’s have another signing announcement. Joining the club is goalkeeper Ryan McCourt. A young goalkeeper with over 50 appearances at this level already. Ryan and Alex keen to have stability in that department from the off.”
“Friday signing… we are delighted to announce the return of Connor Dobson to the club. Connor will also lead the side as captain this year on his return. He is looking forward to working under Alex and Ryan and leading the side.”
“Another Friday signing. Joining us from last seasons play off chasers Lewisham is Freddie Horlock. We look forward to Freddie’s energy, enthusiasm and versatility playing a big part for us this season.”
“Our final Friday signing is Joe Stowell. Joe has had an impressive pre season in midfield and defence and we look forward to him bringing his attributes to the club this season.”
“As we head towards Saturday let’s complete our signing announcements. First up this evening and joining us from Erith and Belvedere is Bailey Smith. Bailey is a young defender who we look forward to seeing in his break out year in senior football.”
“Next up is another young defender Charlie Dale. Charlie has had an impressive pre season and we look forward to seeing him in red and black this season.”
