A busy and hot day in the First Division saw wins for AFC Whyteleafe, Canterbury City, Tooting Bec, Larkfield & New Hythe, Lewisham Borough, Rochester United and Greenways.
Rochester United top the lot, and were top scorers on the day too, as they racked up 8 against Meridian VP. Fjord Rogers scored 3, Max Morgan and Liam Wilkins 2, with George Wady sealing the deal on a 5th win in a row for the Spartans.
AFC Whyteleafe made it 6 in a row, keeping up their 100% winning record since the season start. They went behind at home to Faversham Stike Force but replies from Temi Alaka, Aaron Watson and 2 from Mike Hill, kept the Leafe’s perfect statistics intact.
Greenways picked up their first victory of the season in stunning style, when handing SC Thamesmead a 7-1 defeat. Jake Lovell claimed a hat-trick for the Greens, Simon Walton added 2 and Rhys Macfoy and Issa Mpenga got the others.
There were 2-0 wins for both Tooting Bec and Larkfield & New Hythe. Alex Keating and Alvin Turyatemba netted for Bec at K Sports while Matt Day and Joe Bingham were on target for the Larks at home to Forest Hill Park.
Lewisham Borough are up into the Play Off places following their 3-0 success over Bridon Ropes and Canterbury City returned to winning ways when coming from behind to beat Croydon.
Staplehurst Monarchs v FC Elmstead finished level, with Stanley Oldfield and Jacob Skelly scoring in a 1-1 draw.
