Saturday’s 6 First Divison games gave us wins for Bridon Ropes, AFC Whyteleafe, Lewisham Borough, Tooting Bec and Staplehurst Monarchs, while the only side in the top six to earn a point were Larkfield & New Hythe, who drew 2-2 at FC Elmstead.
Jacob Skelly’s double helped his Elmstead side hold Larkfield & New Hythe to a point at Lower Road.
Yet rather than two points dropped for the Larks, it may well have been one point gained, as Snodland Town lost at home to Tooting Bec and Lydd Town were defeated by a single Jordan Samuels goal for Bridon Ropes.
Greenways and Rochester United also saw their promotion hopes dented with losses while Staplehurst Monarchs beat Meridian VP thanks to a Mackenzie Gardiner 12th minute strike.
