Seven games, seven winners, a seven-goal classic and non league fans across the South East in seventh heaven, as the SCEFL First Division is back – and back in style.
Soul Tower Hamlets and Clapton Community both started life in this league with 3 points. Fred Taylor got the only goal of the game as Clapton beat Greenways while a last minute Joao Cruz winner saw Soul narrowly overcome Welling Town 4-3.
Faversham Strike Force were the biggest winners of the day, with Alex Willis and Marshall Wratten both netting doubles against Meridian VP and Canterbury City beat Tooting Bec 3-1, with a Mo Cham goal setting them on their way.
There were single goal victories for Sheppey Sports and Rochester United. George Acland popped up late to gain maximum points for Sheppey at Bridon Ropes and Harvey Brown’s second half effort was enough for Rochester United to beat SC Thamesmead.
FC Elmstead were 2-1 winners at Croydon. Owen Raymen and Daniel Kommu scored late in each half for Elmstead while Ed Mbango netted for the Trams but it was too little too late.
