Half of today’s Premier Division games finished level, while the other half ended in clean sheets for the victors, which included a VCD Athletic side now 8 points clear at the top of the table.
VCD Athletic were 2-0 winners at Lordswood and hold that big advantage over a chasing pack headed by Faversham Town. The Lilywhites fell behind early on at home to Corinthian but goals by Callum Davies and Tashi-Jay Kwayie had them ahead at the break. Jack Billings netted the Hoops equaliser and with the point Corinthian are in 14th place and unbeaten Faversham in second.
In third are Holmesdale following their entertaining 3-3 draw at home to Snodland Town. Jack Church Lewis Heywood-Oriogun and Sam Bayford were all on target for the hosts while Ryan Thompson, Tristan Lock and Bobby Dunn got the goals for 12th placed Snodland.
Up into 4th position are Punjab United after they extended their unbeaten run this season thanks to a Jack Barry goal in a 1-0 win against Kennington.
The 5th and 6th placed teams, Larkfield & New Hythe and Fisher, played out a 2-2 draw, as did 7th placed Erith & Belvedere and Sutton Athletic, who remain in 18th.
Rusthall are still at the bottom of the table, following their 2-0 loss at a Hollands & Blair side led out by Chairman Paul Piggott, and Glebe won 3-0 at home to Bearsted, with Jamie Philpot, Jerry Nnamani and Alfie Kitt all on target for the Foxes.
An early Rob Hughes goal was enough for Stansfeld to beat Whitstable Town and Regan Corke cancelled out a Sam Adams effort as Tunbridge Wells and Lydd Town drew 1-1.
