Saturday 23rd October – Premier Division
On a weekend where the FA Vase dominated the fixture list Erith Town stole the headlines after their 3-0 win at Bearsted shot them to the top of the Premier Division table.
Having gone the past 9 weeks unbeaten in the league The Dockers now have a 3 point gap on the pack which can be reduced to zero by Sheppey United in midweek before the two face off against each other next Saturday.
Erith were impressive in Otham today, putting on a season-best performance to comfortably beat the Bears with Taylor McDonagh, Tolu Jonah and Steadman Callender getting the goals.
Crowborough Athletic also picked up well-earned 3 points, thanks to a 4-1 win at home to Canterbury City.
Rhys Bartlett’s second half double followed earlier efforts from Harry Osborne and Elliott Duncan and with the win, The Crows now sit in 13th place.
A superb Richard Jimoh winner deep into injury time saw Welling Town pick up their first home win of the season as Hollands & Blair left the Efes Stadium empty handed.
The victory ended a run of 5 consecutive defeats for The Boots and was a first league win for the new Management Team led by Darren Manning. They move to 16th.
