Saturday 22nd January – Premier Division
There were four away wins and one for the hosts from today’s five Premier Division games with none of the losing teams managing to get on the scoresheet.
Fisher were the only home team to earn 3 points following a 2-0 victory against Erith Town.
Jacob Katonia and Abdoullah Traore got the goals for the Fish in a game that saw both sides reduced to 10 men.
There were sending offs for each team at the Steve Cook Stadium too where Erith & Belvedere overcame Punjab United 4-0.
Zak Henry received his marching orders for the 5th time this season, while Rob Curtis made the early walk too but this game will best be remembered for Danny Lear’s hat-trick, which earned the Deres the win which moves them up to 5th place in the table.
Canterbury City started life under new leadership in perfect style – coming away from Lordswood as 3-0 victors.
Rob Lawrence netted a brace following an Enock Soganile opener giving Keith Bird a comfortable 3 points on his first outing out as City boss.
Reuel Powell-Downey got Holmesdale off to the perfect start at Kennington with his first minute goal setting them on the way to their first ever victory over these opponents.
An own goal just before the break completed the scoring and with the win ‘Dale’ are back in the top half.
K Sports sit in the top ten too, with a good week for the Club ending with today’s 2-0 win at Tower Hamlets.
After a goalless first half, Herve Mbongue broke the deadlock while Kane Butler sealed matters with his 3rd 90th minute goal in the past 7 days.
