The 9 Premier Division games today gave us wins for Punjab United, Faversham Town, Bearsted, Snodland Town and Welling Town, with 3 matches finishing all-square and the other not seeing the final whistle.
Faversham Town are on a charge, with their 4th consecutive victory moving them inside the play-off places. A Stefan Payne double helped them to a 5-2 win at Sutton Athletic today.
Snodland Town are up to 7th position following their first away win at Step 5. Ed Mbango, Josh Jackson and Francis Babalola got the goals at the Culverden Stadium with Billy Lewins netting the Tunbridge Wells reply.
Welling Town are up-and running for season 2023/24 after coming out best in a 5-goal thriller with Stansfeld. Victor Aiylabola got a last minute winner, as the Boots leap over their unfortunate visitors in the standings.
Goals from Youssouf Bamba and Paul Vines meant that Punjab United beat Fisher 2-0 while Ollie Freeman’s strike saw Bearsted win at VCD Athletic.
Glebe still lead the pack despite being held to a draw by Kennington at Foxbury. There was little difference between the teams and only a slight difference in the spelling of the scorers surnames with Jamie Philpot getting both the Glebe goals and Ryan Philpott notching a brace for Kennington, who despite the point, remain at the bottom of the table.
Elsewhere, Jack Simons late leveller for Hollands & Blair denied Corinthian a win and Lordswood draw 1-1 with Erith Town.
Whitstable Town v Rusthall was abandoned early into the second half following an injury to the Rustics keeper.
