Greenwich Borough moved to the top of the SCEFL First Division with seven points from their opening three matches after a 2-0 home victory over Lewisham Borough.
Harry Stacey and Malik Sesay were on target as the new boys continued their strong start to life in the league.

Croydon were the day’s biggest winners, earning their first points of the season in emphatic style. Goals from Tommy Friend, Ed Dwyer, Kieran Rufus and Wale Odedoyin sealed a 4-0 triumph over Banstead Athletic, who remain without a point.

FC Elmstead also hit four in a thrilling clash with Lydd Town. Twice pegged back, Elmstead eventually pulled clear with strikes from Thomas Goodayle, Jamie Fearn, Matthew Faithorn and Fraser Page, lifting them up to third in the table after a 4-2 win.

Greenways made it two wins from two thanks to Simon Walton’s decisive goal against Tooting Bec. The 1-0 victory leaves the Greens sitting sixth with a perfect early record.

Lordswood preserved their unbeaten start in dramatic fashion, snatching a 95th-minute equaliser through Sam Bailey. SC Thamesmead had led from the 56th minute via Abdou Jobe, but Bailey’s late strike ensured the spoils were shared.

Elsewhere, Chessington & Hook United and Staplehurst Monarchs played out a goalless draw. While short on entertainment, the result maintained both sides’ unbeaten runs.
