Saturday 15th January – Premier Division
Only 5 of the 10 teams playing today scored, yet the Premier Division still saw 16 goals – mainly thanks to the two leading sides in the table.
Chatham Town won 5-0 at Welling Town with Dan Bradshaw scoring 4 to take his past the 30 mark for this campaign.
Michael Dalton got the other for The Chats who still have a 4 point lead at the top.
Sheppey United are in second place – with a 10 point advantage on those below – after they were 6-0 winners at home to Crowborough Athletic.
The visitors were reduced to 10 men early on giving them little chance against their rampant hosts.
Warren Mfula scored twice, Billy Bennett, Michael Hagan, Lex Allen and Helge Orome once each for The Ites who next up face a midweek trip to Glebe.
Canterbury City picked up their first victory in 3 months when coming from behind to beat Rusthall at Salters Lane.
Luke Adams gave The Rustics a first half lead but replies from Charlie Weston and Luke Illsley gave City the long awaited win, moving them up to 15th place.
Kennington were also winners today as they beat Erith & Belvedere 2-0 at Park View Road.
Liam Middleton nabbed a brace for the visitors who are now one place behind The Deres in 7th.
Hollands & Blair and Fisher drew 0-0 in the only other game in the Premier Division.
