Saturday 10th February
FOUR of today’s games finished 3-1 to the away sides today, and to complete a miserable day for the home teams, the other match went the way of the visitors too, with Bearsted, Punjab United, Glebe, Lordswood and Whitstable Town all picking up victories on the road.
With Glebe being one of those 3-1 victors they now have a 5 point lead on the chasing pack.
Kennington gave them a scare when they took the lead but replies from Jason Banton, Jonathon Erharbor and Jamie Philpot saw the Foxes head for home with the points.
Bearsted kept up their impressive form, while ending Corinthians own good run, with a 3-1 win Longfield. The game was heading for a draw until a late Will Johnson-Cole double earned the Bears their 6th victory in 7 games.
Punjab United and Lordswood were the other winners by a 3-1 scoreline.
Punjab got theirs thanks to a strong first half at Hollands & Blair while Lordswood’s win came at bottom of the table Welling Town.
Whitstable Town ruined the pattern by only winning 1-0 at VCD Athletic.
Reece Gillies got that goal and as a result Whitstable remain firmly in the promotion hunt.
