Rochester United’s remarkable start to the season shows no sign of slowing, as they made it eight league wins from eight – and eleven victories in all competitions – with a 2-1 triumph over Chessington & Hook. Jack Nelson continued his prolific form, following up a midweek double hat-trick with another brace before the break. Archie Morgan pulled one back for the visitors, but Rochester held firm to maintain their perfect league record and leave winless Chessington still rooted to the bottom.

Tooting Bec climbed into the play-off spots with a convincing 4-1 home success against Staplehurst Monarchs. Benji Robinson stole the headlines with a hat-trick, while Yunas Emhatsion also found the net. Jerome Lee scored for the Monarchs, who drop to seventh.

At the Ladywell Arena, Lewisham Borough secured their first home victory of the campaign, defeating Lordswood 3-0. John Garcia struck twice and Caden Havell-Olding added the other as Borough climbed out of the relegation zone. For Lordswood, it capped off a week to forget.

Banstead Athletic also enjoyed a first home win of the season, edging a lively encounter with FC Elmstead 3-2. Alfie Hyett opened the scoring for Banstead before the visitors hit back through Donte Degannes-Fidyk and Thomas Green. After the break, Javaughny Waugh and Micah Burke turned the game around to ensure the points stayed with the hosts.

The other two fixtures ended level. SC Thamesmead and Croydon shared a 2-2 draw, with Henry Awokere and Henry Phillips netting for the hosts and Kiarn Asafu-Adjaye bagging both goals for the Trams. Welling Town were also held at home, as their 2-2 contest with Sheppey Sports saw Harvey Roberts and Sam Huckle on the scoresheet for the Boots, while Joe Ganiwa and Joe Skinner struck for the visitors.
