Oghosa Williams was on the scoresheet once again as Borough made it six wins from seven league games, cementing their place at the summit. For Lordswood, it was a first defeat of the campaign.
SE Dons sit second and continue to boast a perfect record at home after dispatching Bridon Ropes 3-1 at the Bauvill. Aaron Watson, Joedon Gugas-Cowin and Palace Francis got the goals for the Dons, who are also the division’s leading scorers.
Greenways made it three wins from three on the road after a dramatic 3-2 comeback at Staplehurst Monarchs. Simon Walton gave the Greens the perfect start, only for Ollie Lankshear to strike twice before the break and hand Monarchs control. The game turned after the hour when substitute Steve Karkari came on — his brace sealing all three points and continuing Greenways’ excellent away form.
Tooting Bec climbed into seventh after a 2-0 win over Welling Town. Dan Farrow struck in each half to secure the points and keep Bec’s momentum building.
SC Thamesmead were the day’s biggest winners, hitting six past Chessington & Hook for their first league victory of the season. Wale Odedoyin, Jamie Williams, Henry Awokere (2), Chris Mochine-Wood and Henry Phillips all got on the scoresheet in a commanding 6-2 success.
Lewisham Borough also picked up their first win of the season, leaving Sheppey Sports with a 2-0 triumph. Shiloh Apena and Caden Havell-Olding found the net in the second half to get Borough up and running.
At Lower Road, Stacey Petrou struck a stoppage-time winner as FC Elmstead beat Halls AFC 2-1. Alfie Sanders had given Elmstead the lead before Halls levelled in the 89th minute, but Petrou ensured the home side grabbed all three points in dramatic fashion.
Banstead Athletic were seconds away from their first home win of the season, but Lydd Town snatched a late equaliser to earn a 1-1 draw. Finn Haughey had put Banstead in front, only for a last-minute leveller to deny them.
