FIRST DIVISION

Banstead Athletic P-P Chessington & Hook

SE Dons 4-2 Sheppey Sports

Tooting Bec 0-0 Bridon Ropes

A trimmed First Division schedule didn’t stop SE Dons from making another statement, as they closed the gap on the leading pair with a 4–2 victory over Sheppey Sports at a soggy but still immovable fortress Bauvill. Joe Thomas struck early on nine minutes, Aaron Watson doubled the lead just after the half-hour, and Palace Francis made it three shortly after the restart. Thomas wrapped it up with his second on 80 minutes to extend the Dons’ unbeaten league run to eight games — and keep their perfect home record intact.

Sheppey Sports played their part in an open contest but leave Chatham empty-handed.

Tooting Bec and Bridon Ropes ground out a goalless draw, a result that nudges Bec back into the play-off places and keeps Bridon parked in 13th.

The game between Banstead Athletic and Chessington & Hook was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
