TODAY’S FIRST DIVISION RESULTS

Canterbury City 3-0 Welling Town

Clapton Community 2-1 Staplehurst Monarchs

Greenways 1-2 SC Thamesmead

Halls AFC 2-0 Rochester United

Sheppey Sports 2-0 Faversham Strike Force

 

There were 5 games and 5 winners in the First Division today, but without playing, Croydon remain at the top of the table, and Meridian VP stay bottom.

Canterbury City have closed the gap to the trams to just 2 points though following their 3-0 home win over Welling Town. Sean Aromolara, Harry Sikirwayi and Rob Lawrence got the goals for a City side that are the top scorers in the league.

Halls AFC and Sheppey Sports both picked up 2-0 wins. James Bayford and Junior Amusan were each on target for Halls against Rochester United while Jordan Tingley netted a double for Sheppey as they surprised Faversham Strike Force.

Clapton Community and SC Thamesmead were each 2-1 victors. Junia Charlton and Fred Taylor scored for Clapton against Staplehurst Monarchs with Kanan Fitton and Alvin Turyatemba finding the net for Thamesmead at Greenways.
