FIRST DIVISION REVIEW

Only four games survived the weather today, but those fixtures still cooked up 19 goals, a ruined winning streak, and a couple of late-gut-punch equalisers. Standard First Division chaos.

Sheppey Sports 8-1 Lydd Town
Sheppey Sports went full arcade mode, smashing eight past a shell-shocked Lydd Town to claim back-to-back wins and climb to 12th.
Simon Gyimaha helped himself to a hat-trick (6′, 54′, 76′), Joe Ganiwa bagged a brace (35′, 58′), while David Latunde (38′), Jahmal Hector-Ingram (90+2′) and a late Ian Batten penalty (90+7′) completed the demolition.
Lydd at least got on the board through Finley Bough (90+2′), but that’s about the only consolation as they slip to second bottom.

Banstead Athletic 0-6 Halls AFC
Halls AFC clearly enjoyed themselves too, dismantling Banstead Athletic 6-0 for their fourth straight win, lifting them up to 11th.
Muraino Banjoko (8′) set the tone early, Sam Bayford converted from the spot (25′), and Joseph Freeman (35′) added another before half-time.
Zack Manning then took over with a quickfire double (66′, 73′), and Gbolahan Noiki (83′) wrapped up a very comfortable afternoon.

Staplehurst Monarchs 1-1 Rochester United
Rochester United were seconds away from keeping their perfect league record intact… then the Monarchs struck.
Hicham Akhazzan (45+1′) had Rochester in front, but Oliver Lankshear popped up deep into stoppage time (90+4′) to snatch a point for Staplehurst and halt the leaders’ winning run.
Rochester stay top by three points, while Staplehurst climb to 9th.

Greenways 1-1 SC Thamesmead
Greenways also suffered late heartbreak. Steve Karkari (26′) put the Greens ahead and on course to tighten their grip on fourth place, but Jamie Williams equalised at 90+4′ to drag SC Thamesmead off the canvas.
The Greens remain 4th; Thamesmead stay in the bottom three but will happily take a last-gasp point.

Chessington & Hook v Welling Town was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
