The final matchweek of 2024 saw wins for Staplehurst Monarchs, FC Elmstead, Greenways and Soul Tower Hamlets while for Meridian VP, it saw them earn their first point of a campaign that has now passed through the half way mark.
Staplehurst pulled off the result of the day, winning 3-0 at league leaders Canterbury City. Luke Adams, Jack Hyslop and Ted Rosetti got the goals for the Monarchs, who finish the year in 12th.
FC Elmstead were 2-0 winners against Croydon thanks to two goals from Kieran Shrimpton. It was a 6th loss in a row for Croydon, who are now clinging on to their play-off place.
Soul Tower Hamlets beat Clapton Community 2-1, with all 3 goals coming in an exciting first half. Louis Brown had put Clapton ahead before efforts from Phil Brown and Joao Cruz swung the game around.
Greenways made it back-to-back wins with a 2-1 victory at home to Sheppey Sports. Ashley Poppy gave the Greens the lead, Joel Wakefield levelled and Timmy Babington won it late for the hosts.
In-form pairing SC Thamesmead and Halls AFC shared the spoils at Bayliss Avenue while a goalless draw for Meridian VP against Bridon Ropes was enough to see them finally pick up their first point of the season.
