6 of today’s 8 First Division games went the way of the home side with another finishing level and Forest Hill Park the only away victors – and even that win came on their own ground.
Forest Hill were up against groundsharing neighbours Lewisham Borough where a scrappy Jake Rose goal decided the points in front of a record 383 at a bouncing Ladywell Arena.
Croydon kept up their excellent start to the season with a 4-3 win against Clapton Community. The Trams , who led 4-0 at the break, remain at the top of the table. In second place are Canterbury City, who beat Meridian VP 2-1, while Rochester United sit third thanks to their 2-0 win over Welling Town.
There was a 2-1 win for Bridon Ropes against SC Thamesmead, 3-1 triumph for Halls AFC against Faversham Strike Force and narrow 1-0 win for Staplehurst Monarchs against Sheppey SPorts, with Luke Adams getting that solitary goal.
The only draw of the day came at Lower Road where FC Elmstead and Greenways finished 2-2. Ashley Poppy claimed a late double for the visitors.
