There were goals galore in the Premier Division on Saturday, with 39 flying in across nine thrilling games.

Whitstable Town climbed to the top of the table for the first time this season after a 2-1 win away at Fisher, with Javaun Splatt’s double doing the damage and Michael Sarpong grabbing the consolation for the hosts. Previous leaders Bearsted slipped from the summit after a 3-2 defeat at Tunbridge Wells, where the Wells came from behind thanks to second-half strikes from D’Armando Lawrence, Christian Lawal and Regan Corke. Larkfield & New Hythe’s fine run continued as Sam Fitzgerald’s 69th-minute effort earned them a 1-0 win at Erith & Belvedere, extending their unbeaten streak to eight and lifting them to third.

Holmesdale also kept the goals flowing with a 4-2 home victory over Hythe Town, with Nathan Palmer, Callum Keeble, Malachi Hudson and Kayden Turner-Bernard all on the scoresheet. Hythe’s sixth straight defeat leaves them just a point off the bottom despite late goals from Steadman Callender and Armani-Jordan Martin. At the other end of the table, Stansfeld boosted their survival hopes with a 3-1 win at Snodland Town — Adam Wallis struck twice and Glen Bain added a late third after Charlie Heatley had opened for the hosts.

Kennington produced late drama to hand Rusthall their first league defeat of the season, Kaelem Sobhee-Turner’s 97th-minute winner sealing a 3-2 victory after earlier goals from Tom Scorer and Todd Brand. Jack Kirby’s brace wasn’t enough for the Rustics, who drop to fifth.

Sutton Athletic continued their rise with a 2-1 win at Faversham Strike Force, both goals coming from Conor Evans, while Harry Taylor replied for the hosts. Corinthian made it three wins on the spin after a 4-2 success at Hollands & Blair, with Caleb Afoke, Jack Billings, Alfie Cragg and Jamie Billings all finding the net to continue their charge up the table.

Punjab United came from behind to beat Phoenix Sports 4-2 in a pulsating contest. Will Johnson-Cole hit a hat-trick and Ethan Okechukwu added another after Phoenix had twice led through Paul Lee and Jamarie Brissett.

It all added up to a brilliant day’s action in the Premier Division — nine matches, 39 goals, and a shake-up at both ends of the table.
